How Is the Cost of a Hair Transplant Calculated?
How Severe Your Hair Loss Is
We'll need to harvest and transplant more hair follicles to treat more serious cases of baldness. This will mean more time in surgery, and an increase in cost.
The Hair Transplant Surgeon’s Experience
If you've come across pricing that's too good to be true, it's likely the doctor has little to no experience. You get what you pay for in the hair transplant field, and if you choose to work with our New York–area clinics, you can rest assured you're in good hands.
Whether the Hair Transplant Procedure Includes Bioenhancements
Bioenhancements like PRP can be applied at the same time the follicular bundles are inserted. This can make a huge difference in your results, but will add to the cost.

Do you charge a hair transplant consultation fee?
There is a $175.00 USD consultation fee. Dr. Robert J. Dorin will meet with you personally at our New York City office, another office location, or virtually. After evaluating your medical and hair loss condition, he will discuss a detailed hair restoration plan with you. Learn More During a Consultation With
The Hair Loss Doctors
Hair loss is an individual and personal issue.
In order to better assess why you are experiencing hair loss, it's important to visit with our world-renowned doctor (either in-person at our New York-area offices or virtually). During your consultation, which will take approximately 45-90 minutes, your doctor will personally assess the condition(s) that are attributing to your hair loss.
After this professional assessment, the doctor will discuss treatment options with you and tell you whether or not you are a candidate for hair restoration surgery.
Dr. Dorin will be honest in his assessment. Unfortunately, not all prospective patients are candidates for hair restoration surgery at our practice. Additionally unfortunate is the fact that women are less likely to be candidates for hair restoration surgery than men. While we understand that this news can be hard to hear, we make it a clinic policy to only perform surgeries on applicable candidates, unlike other clinics in the U.S. and especially in other parts of the world.
